We rent sea containers in the city of Xi'an (Shaanxi Province, China) to organize export shipments to Russia and CIS countries. Although Xi'an is landlocked, it is the largest logistics hub in Western China and a key starting point of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Thanks to its developed "dry port" infrastructure and direct rail links, renting a container here is often faster and more cost-effective than in coastal cities, especially for rail-bound cargo.

Important: We fundamentally do not work with "As-Is" condition. For long rail or multimodal shipments, we provide only inspected, watertight, and technically sound containers to ensure your cargo is protected from dust, precipitation, and mechanical damage.

Near Xi'an's container terminals, we always have the following in stock:

  • 20’ DC: Standard twenty-foot containers (ideal for heavy equipment, metal products, and auto parts).

  • 40’ DC / 40’ HC: Forty-foot and High Cube containers (optimal for textiles, electronics, and consumer goods).

  • Reefer containers: For food products (available upon prior request).

Deals are processed within 1 working day. Containers are supplied in NEW, IICL, or CW condition.

How Container Rental in Xi'an Works

  1. Delivery: The container is delivered to the terminal or your facility in Xi'an.

  2. Loading and Documentation: After loading, your cargo undergoes customs clearance directly in Xi'an (the dry port zone offers a full cycle of customs procedures).

  3. Route: The container departs with your cargo: either via a direct rail train to Russia or via a "sea-rail" scheme to the ports of Qingdao or Tianjin.

  4. Drop-off: Upon arrival in Russia, you return the empty container to a designated depot (Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, etc.), completing the One-Way Lease agreement.

Local Logistics Expertise: How Xi'an Fits into Shipments

Understanding the region's geography allows us to optimize your costs. Xi'an is integrated into global supply chains in two main ways:

  • Direct Rail Export (Chang'an Freight Train): Xi'an is the largest hub on the China–Europe/Russia route. Trains depart from the Xi'an Container Center Railway Station in the International Trade & Logistics Park. This is the fastest way to deliver cargo to Moscow, Novosibirsk, or Yekaterinburg (15–20 days), bypassing Chinese seaports and border queues.

  • Multimodal "Sea-Rail" Scheme: If the final destination requires sea freight, the container is sent from Xi'an via a dedicated rail block to the ports of Qingdao or Tianjin (2–3 days by rail). At the port, it is transshipped onto a vessel.

Who Benefits from Container Rental in Xi'an?

  • Exporters to Russia via the "Chang'an" Rail: Manufacturers of equipment, chemicals, and industrial goods in Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia provinces. Direct rail shipment from Xi'an to Moscow or Novosibirsk eliminates the risk of delays in Chinese seaports and allows you to leverage competitive One-Way Lease rates.

  • Importers Operating on the "Factory in Xi'an – Qingdao Port" Scheme: Many manufacturing facilities (including major plants like BYD or Samsung in Xi'an) ship goods for export. We can deliver a container to the factory, and after rail delivery to Qingdao and sea transit, you drop it off at the destination port without worrying about returning the equipment deep into China.

  • Logistics Operators and NVOCCs: A shortage of empty containers in Western China during peak seasons is a common issue. Our fleet in Xi'an allows you to guarantee equipment supply to your clients without relying on shipping line quotas.

Why are rates from Xi'an so competitive? Xi'an is a point of logistical imbalance: fewer import containers arrive here than export containers leave. Operators critically need to move empty units to Russia. Additionally, for rail routes to Siberia and Moscow, the logistical leg from Xi'an is shorter than from Shanghai or Guangzhou, which lowers the overall rental cost.
